Notice of adjustment to fuel surcharge 

The war in the Middle East has created increased uncertainty in the oil and energy markets. 

This is due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control and directly affects the cost levels in the transport industry, including higher fuel prices. 

We may therefore need to take measures to manage rising costs if the situation continues. 

The fuel surcharge may be adjusted within a short time and in line with market developments. 

Given the current situation, this may involve an increase in surcharge rates, as well as more frequent adjustments. This is dependent on the situation and a temporary measure until the market normalizes.

Calculation 

The fuel surcharge is calculated with a two‑month delay. Even though fuel prices rose sharply in March, the April rate is based on the February prices and therefore results in only a marginal change. The rate for May will increase more, as it is based on the price developments in March.

At this time, there are no changes to the frequency or calculation method of the fuel surcharge. We are monitoring the market closely and continuously assessing the need for adjustments.

Fuel prices may be adjusted more frequently in response to market developments.
