Norway: Train cancellations and delays due to snowstorm.

Due to extreme cold in Sweden and Norway, trains between Oslo-Kiruna and Jönköping-Kiruna (both directions) are canceled from January 2, 2024, to Thursday, January 5, 2024. This results in limited options for sending packages and goods between southern Norway and large parts of northern Norway. Many letters and all business and express shipments are being sent by air and are therefore not affected by the train cancellations.

Instead, we are attempting to transport via the Nordlandsbanen and deploying extra vehicles, but there will be delays of up to several days between regions in Norway. This particularly applies to postal codes: 0001-5999, 6700-6999 to/from 8300-8599 and 9000-9999, as well as 6000-6699, 7000-7999 to/from 9500-9999.

The last days, there have been significant delays in all transport to and from Oslo, especially in the most affected regions in Norway.

As a significant portion of shipments pass through Oslo, delays may occur between regions that are not necessarily affected by the heavy snowfall. This also means that shipments submitted during the Christmas holidays may experience delays.

Delays due to heavy snowfall and wind in several places in Denmark

Due to heavy snowfall and wind in various parts of Denmark, delays may occur. Especially Midtjylland, Østjylland, and Nordsjælland are currently heavily affected by the weather, making travel difficult and dangerous.

We are continuing distribution and pickups as long as it is safe, but several roads, ferry crossings, and bridges are closed. For the safety of our drivers, there are areas where we must temporarily suspend operations. We will resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so.

Customers whose shipments we cannot pick up as planned will be informed directly. Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding your pickup.
